Guglielmo Biasutti (1904-1985), Catholic priest

Biasutti was born in Forgaria nel Friuli (Udine) on 8 August 1904. Of humble peasant origins, he was ordained a priest in 1926, graduated in theology in Rome in 1928 and, with full marks, in philosophy at the Catholic University of Louvain in 1931 A free and brilliant spirit, in 1938 he wrote a pamphlet in favor of the Jews; disliked by the fascist regime, in 1941 he was sent a military chaplain to Russia. He was the author of over one hundred scientific pamphlets on various topics (autobiographical, memorial, ecclesial, religious, historical, local, social, artistic).
