Abstract
The so-called Luther Bible, including the OT Apocrypha, is the first printed translation of the Bible based on the Hebrew and Greek texts. Martin Luther translated the text with the help of Philipp Melanchthon, Caspar Creuziger, Justus Jonas, Johannes Bugenhagen, and others. The New Testament had been published already in 1522.
