Benedict T. Viviano

Benedict T. Viviano (b.1940) is an Italian American scholar. Born in St Louis, MO, entered the Dominican order in 1959 and was ordained a priest in 1966. Taught New Testament at the Aquinas Institute of Theology (Dubuque, Iowa, 1971-81, and St. Louis, MO, 1981-84), the Ecole Biblique of Jerusalem (1984-95), and the University of Fribourg, Switzerland (1995-2008).
