Ben-Hur / Ben Hur: The Stadium Spectacular (2006) is a play by Robert Hossein and Alain Decaux. Based on Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ (1880 Wallace), novel.
Abstract
A stadium-scaled show, featuring a cast of hundreds, a full-scale chariot race, and a giant Roman galleon.
Editions, performances
Premiered on 20 September 2006 at the Stade de France in Paris, France, where it was watched (for a total of five performances) by over 300,000 people. The play was then staged (in its English edition) at the ANZ Stadium, Sydney, Australia, on 22 and 23 October, 2010.
