The Australian Association of Jewish Studies (AAJS) is a National Association for Judaic Studies.

History

The Australian Association for Jewish Studies (AAJS), founded in 1987, is a professional association for scholars, teachers, and researchers in Jewish Studies at Australian institutions of Higher Education and Research, with the principal aim of advancing Jewish Studies in Australia. Its activities include an annual Colloquium; a website (http://www.aajs.org.au), and publication of the Australian Journal of Jewish Studies.

The focus of the Association is on the entire spectrum of Judaic Studies, including Second Temple Studies.
