Androcles and the Lion (1946) is a British TV production (sound, B&W, 60m) of Androcles and the Lion (1912 Shaw), play, directed by Desmond Davis.
Abstract
Story of Androcles, a Christian slave in ancient Rome who was saved by the mercy of a lion.
Second BBC production of Shaw's play. Davis himself had directed the first one in 1938 and would do it again in 1951.
