Alexander Ross (1591-1664), scholar

Alexander Ross (1591-1664) was a Scottish scholar and clergyman, and the author of the first translation of the Qur'an into English, based on the French version by André Du Ryer. Ross also authored several works on the Bible and the history of the Jewish people and religion.
