Alessio Simmaco Mazzocchi (1684-1771) was an Italian scholar. A Catholic priest and professor of Theology and Scripture at the Regia Università degli Studi in Naples, he was fluent in Greek, Latin and Hebrew, and renowned for his interests in ancient history and archaeology.

Alessio Simmaco Mazzocchi was born at Villa Santa Maria Maggiore (near Capua) on October 21, 1684. He was ordained a Catholic priest in 1709. A scholar of Greek, Latin and Hebrew, he was renowned for his interests in ancient history and archaeology. He taught Theology and Scripture at the Regia Università degli Studi in Naples. He died in Naples [Italy] on September 12, 1771.
