Albert Lister Peace (1844-1912) was a British composer. Peace was born January 26, 1844 in Huddersfield [England]. A precocious musician, he had his first appointment as an organist at just nine years old. He earned his BA and PhD (1875) in Music from the University of Oxford. In 1879 he became organist of Glasgow Cathedral; and in 1897 at St. George’s Hall, Liverpool. He died March 14, 1912 in Liverpool [England].
