Abstract
1st-century Galilee was a particularly rich region with a vigorous agricultural sector, a quite developed industry, and a flourishing commerce. In the eve of Jesus' public life, two large towns, Sepphoris and Tiberias, were built; Probably, Jesus himself was professionally involved in their building.
