Salvatore Garofalo (1911-1998) was an Italian scholar.

Biography

Catholic priest and Biblical scholar. Graduated (1940) from the Pontifical Biblical Institute. Founder and first Director (1948-1954) of the Associazione Biblica Italiana. Professor and rector (1958-1971) of the Pontifical Urbanian University. Editor of the book series La Sacra Bibbia.
