István Baán (b. 1948) is a Hungarian scholar. PhD (1997). An expert in Patristics and Mediaeval Byzantinology. Translator of ancient Christian texts into Hungarian. Translated the book of 1 Enoch, in Apokrifek (1988 Vanyó), edited volume.
