Renate Egger-Wenzel (b.1961) is an Austrian scholar, at the University of Salzburg, Austria. Earned his PhD in Theology in 1997, Habilitation in 2004. Professor of Old Testament at the University of Salzburg. President of the International Society for the Study of Deuterocanonical and Cognate Literature (2002-), learned society.
