Salome (1918) is a silent film directed by J. Gordon Edwards.

Abstract

Although claiming inspiration directly from Joseph and offering a vivid representation of ancient Jerusalem, the character of Salome is influenced by Wilde’s retelling. Starring Theda Bara (Salome), G. Raymond Nye (King Herod), and Albert Roscoe (John the Baptist).
