David J. Rudolph (1967-), scholar
David J. Rudolph (born 1967) is an American Jewish scholar at Messianic JewishTheological Institute, Los Angeles, CA.
Biography
David Rudolph (Ph.D., Cambridge University) teaches New Testament at the MJTI School of Jewish Studies. David has published numerous books and articles on the New Testament, Second Temple Judaism and Jewish-Christian relations. His recent publications include A Jew to the Jews: Jewish Contours of Pauline Flexibility in 1 Corinthians 9:19-23 (Mohr Siebeck, 2011), which won the Franz Delitzsch Prize from the Freie Theologische Akademie in Germany, and "Paul's 'Rule in All the Churches' (1 Cor 7:17-24) and Torah-Defined Ecclesiological Variegation," Studies in Christian-Jewish Relations 5 (2010): 1-23. David is currently working on two book projects: Introduction to Messianic Judaism: Its Ecclesial Context and Biblical Foundations (Zondervan, forthcoming 2013; co-authored with Joel Willitts); and The Jewish New Testament: An Introduction to its Jewish Social & Conceptual Context (Eerdmans, forthcoming 2016; co-authored with Joel Willitts and Justin Hardin).
