Abstract

Nicely photographed film concerned with the Holy Week events, boasted excellent performances by Robert Le Vigan (Jesus), Jean Gabin (Pontius Pilate), and the entire cast. The first all-talking film made on the life of Jesus and the most significant production of the 1930s on the subject.
