Charles François Dupuis (1742-1809) was a French scholar.
Biography
Charles François Dupuis was born in Trie-Château, Oise, on October 26, 1742.
He taught Latin eloquence at the Collège de France, and devoted himself to the study of ancient mythologies.
He died on September 29, 1809 in Échevannes (Côte-d'Or).
Works on Second Temple Judaism
Dupuis is credited for developing the Jesus Myth Theory.
