The category: Norwegian, highlights the national or linguistic identity of people, associated with Norway and Norwegian language and culture.

Overview

The Norwegians are an ethnic group that primarily inhabit Norway and speak the Norwegian language (circa 12 million worldwide).

Most Norwegians today live within the borders of independent Norway (circa 4 million). There are Norwegian minorities in Sweden, and sizeable populations of immigrants and their descendants in the United States, Canada, Brazil, and Australia.
