Así empezó el cristianismo <Spanish> / How Christianity Began (2010) is a volume edited by Rafael Aguirre Monasterio.

Abstract

Nascent Christianity must be studied in light of its complex and conflicting context and in light of the diverse factors that shaped the latter. This edited volume examines different sorts of texts and a series of sociological, anthropological, and theological categories all useful to the study of Christian origins in so far as Christianity arose out of an specific sociological process that involved different cultures one must deal with as well as a number of ideological issues that show how Jesus' religious experience was differently interpreted by his disciples. Christian origins are thus focused from a critical, scholarly, and interdicsiplinary perspective in the conviction that this may help Christianity to nowadays develop beyond its pasts handicaps.--From the publisher
