Erling Hammershaimb

Erling Hammershaimb (1904-1994) was a Danish scholar. After receiving his PhD from the University of Aarhus in 1941, from 1942 he worked at the same University as Professor of Old Testament and then, as Professor of Semitic Philology, 1963-1974. Hammershaimb was Rector of the University of Aarhus, 1963-1967.
