George Robert Stow Mead (1863-1933) was a British scholar.

Biography

George Mead was born at Nuneaton, Warwickshire, England. He studied in Rochester, and Cambridge. In 1884 he joined the Theosophical Society. He devoted his intellectual energy to the complex interplay of Gnosticism, Hellenism, Judaism, and Christianity.
