Sunset Blvd. (1950) is a film directed by Billy Wilder.

Abstract

In this celebrated film, the protagonist, a faded silent movie star (Gloria Swanson), dreams of making a triumphal return to the screen as Salome. Curiously, Gloria Swanson, who in her career never played the role of Salome, in Stage Struck (1925 Dwan), film had already interpreted the part of a young waitress who fantasied to be Salome on the stage.
