An introduction to the [[OT Pseudepigrapha]].

After a general introduction, the volume devotes detailed chapters to eight "Jewish or Early Christian" pseudepigrapha--the [[Psalms of Solomon]], [[1 Enoch]], the [[Assumption of Moses]], [[2 Baruch]], the [[Testaments of the Twelve Patriarchs]], the [[Book of Jubilees]], the [[Ascension of Isaiah]], and the [[Sybilline Oracles]].

The approach is positive: the Pseudepigrapha were "sacred writings," which were composed in the name of ancient patriarchs, "not to deceive, but to conciliate favour."
