Eiléan Ní Chuilleanáin was born November 28, 1942 at Cork [Ireland], the daughter of University College Cork Professor Cormac Ó Cuilleanáin and novelist [[Eilís Dillon]]. She studied at University College Cork and the University of Oxford. She is Associate Professor of English Literature at Trinity College Dublin.
