Zerubbabel (6th century BCE), of the House of David, was the last king of Judah in Babylon. He was the nephew of his predecessor Sheshbazzar.


Overview

Together the Zadokite high priest Joshua, Zerubbabel led the return of the Jews from Babylon after the exile and laid the foundations of the Second Temple in the early Persian period.
