Il Tito / Titus l'empereur <French> (1731) is an opera by Georg Frideric Haendel (mus.). Based on Bérénice (1670 Racine), play.
Abstract
Abortive attempt at a "Tito and Berenice" opera based on Racine. In the manuscript Haendel headed the title "Titus l'empereur", although the text was in italian. He completed only three scenes in Act 1, before abandoning the project.
