Matthäuspassion <German> / St. Matthew Passion (1727) is an oratorio by Johann Sebastian Bach (mus.) and Christian Friedrich Henrici (libr.).
Abstract
As in all Bach oratorios, the Gospel "characters" are merely "voices" that repeats only the "canonical" words.
