Jim Bishop (1907-1987) was an American novelist. Born in Jersey City, NJ. Had a successful career as journalist. In 1955 published The Day Lincoln Was Shot, which became an instant bestseller. With equal success, applied the same narrative style to describe the death and birth of Jesus, as well as the assassination of President Kennedy in The Day Kennedy Was Shot (1968).
