Jesus Christ Superstar (1970) is an album musical of Jesus Christ Superstar (1970 Webber / Rice), opera, conducted by Alan Doggett.
Abstract
Before its Broadway premiere in 1971, the rock opera by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice debuted as an album musical. It was a smashing success, serving as a launching pad for the numerous stage productions of the opera in the following years.
