G. Nathanael Bonwetsch (M / Russia, Germany, 1848-1925), scholar

Gottlieb (Georg) Nathanael Bonwetsch (1848-1925) was a Russian-born German scholar. Born in Russia, Bonwetsch studied theology in Dorpat [Tartu, Estonia], then later in Göttingen and Bonn. In 1891 became professor of church history at the University of Göttingen [Germany].
