An ex-child star, now working as a soda jerk convinces the studio to remake his famous film, SKIPPY and hire him as a coach for their new boy star Billy. While on the lot he meets an ingenue and they fall in love, but problems arise and he leaves town. En route he finds Billy in the back seat of his car, and in classic child-actor style the boy devises a plan to fix everything.
