Arturo Alessandri (Santiago, Chile, 1896 - Santiago, Chile, 1986) - Politician, President of Chile (1958-1964).

Born in Chile, Jorge Alessandri was the great-grandson of Giuseppe Pietro Alessandri Tarzo, an Italian patriot involved in the riots of the 1820s, who decided to leave Tuscany and worked as Consul of the Kingdom of Sardinia in Santiago, Chile. His father, Arturo Alessandri was President of Chile (1920-1924, 1925, 1932-1938). After studying at the University of Chile, Jorge Alessandri first concentrated on business interests. He gradually became more and more involved in politics. He served as President of Chile from 1958 to 1964.
