Michele Ruggieri (Spinazzola, Apulia, Italy, 1543 - Salerno, Italy, 1607) -- Jesuit priest, missionary, scholar, active in India (1578-79) and China (1579-88).
Born in Italy, he was sent to India and then to China. Went back to Italy in 1588, where he died.
