Simon of Trent (1472–1475)
Simon of Trent was a boy from the city of Trent, in the Prince-Bishopric of Trent, whose disappearance and death was blamed on the leaders of the city's Jewish community, based on the confessions of Jews obtained under judicial torture.
Similar cases occurred at Marostica (Vicenza) and Marina di Massa, where little boys were venerated as "victims" of Jewish hatred. At Trani a procession celebrated a "miracle" connected to the alleged desecration of a host by a Jewish woman.
