Biography

Abraham Klavansky (Arnold Clevs) was one of the Kovno Boys, liberated at Gunskirchen.

Abraham Klavansky (Arnold Clevs) was born March 25, 1933 in Kovno, Lithuania. He and his family were forced to live in the Kovno Ghetto. When the ghetto was liquidated he was separated from his mother at Stutthof and from his father at Dachau. One of the 131 Kovno Boys survived the selections and the death march to Mauthausen (where he was recorded as Abraham Klivansky, b. Mar 25, 1929). He was liberated at Gunskirchen on May 5, 1945. He joined the Jewish Brigade to Selvino, Italy and reunited with his mother.
